The Waters of Revelation Are Surely Troubled...

If you have been around me very long you have heard me use the phrase “The waters of revelation are surely troubled.” This is so embedded in my way of thinking because this truth has revolutionized my life. I want you to be very clear on what I am saying. This directly affects you and what you are entitled to and that would be revelation of God’s Word.

In John 5:2-4 (AMP) we see the setting for this statement: “Now there is in Jerusalem a pool near the Sheep Gate. This pool in the Hebrew is called Bethesda, having five porches (alcoves, colonnades, doorways). In these lay a great number of sick folk—some blind, some crippled, and some paralyzed (shriveled up)—waiting for the bubbling up of the water. For an angel of the Lord went down at appointed seasons into the pool and moved and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was cured of whatever disease with which he was afflicted.”
Now from this we see that when the water was troubled or stirred up by the angel, the first one in got healed. The word troubled in the Greek means to stir or agitate. When I use that phrase I am saying that the Holy Spirit is stirring up the Word and fresh revelation is flowing for whosoever asks. You have not because you ask not, the Word says, and God wants us to ask. He wants us to understand and He wants us to know – that we know! That is how faith is developed. The truth has always been there. It has not changed but our understanding is increasing as we open ourselves up to the Great Teacher, the Holy Spirit and let Him reveal the Word to us. He will lead and guide us into all truth.

Deuteronomy 29:29 (KJV) The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

Deuteronomy 29:29 (BBE) The secret things are the Lord our God's: but the things which have been made clear are ours and our children's for ever, so that we may do all the words of this law.

Matthew 7:7-8 (KJV) Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

John 14:26 (KJV) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Ephesians 1:17 (KJV)
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
