When you begin to learn all you can about this enemy it is not to glorify him but to know what his strategies are and how to reinforce his defeat in your life. You need that so you can enjoy the victory that Jesus bought for each of us at Calvary. You can know how to have your guard up and cancel out many of his attacks in advance because you recognize his tactics and plans of action. However, if you don’t know how he operates you can be deceived. He has the same method of operation – M.O he has always used. He doesn’t have anything new – he tries the same old bag of tricks on all believers. 1 PETER 5:7: the scriptures are plain about the fact that Satan, the Devil is our adversary – our enemy! For us to go around and ignore him is to give him access to work against us through our own ignorance. Very likely he will try to get us to blame God for what he himself has done or tricked us into doing. He uses fear, deceit and outright lies as Gatling guns in his arsenal. Jesus said the thief comes to steal, kill and destroy and that He came to give life and give it more abundantly. He called him a liar and a murderer among others labels. It is time to take Jesus at His Word and believe what the Word of God has to say about this enemy. There is a great deal in the Word about him and his devices. We do not have to be afraid of him. Jesus clearly has given us authority and power over all the power of the enemy and nothing by any means shall hurt us LUKE 10:19.
We want to take the covers off and expose his deceptions, lies and grand designs. Some of the things you know are quite obvious; however there are many things that we were told were God when in fact they are not based on the Word of God which brings great delight to our enemy. The enemy is enrolled in the blame game. He just doesn’t want you to recognize it’s him. You will remember giving blame showed up in the Garden of Eden. We must recall ISAIAH 5:13 which states, “My people have gone into captivity because they have no knowledge …” God is saying this about His very own people!
Now, know this – if he is OUR enemy we are HIS enemy! He doesn’t want you to know who he is and he certainly doesn’t want you to know who you are in Christ. Neither does he want you to know the things God has given to you – the greatest of which is He, Himself! The devil is sneaky and we want him exposed so that we know what is God, what is the devil, our enemy and what is our own flesh. The Word of God will do just that for us. Be ready for God to show you some things, clarify some things and maybe even correct some of your own thinking. It will increase your desire to walk even closer to Him. Let the Holy Spirit lead and guide you in all truth.
Teachings will be added so be sure to check back and use these as an outline for your own study. You will be amazed how really blessed you are as God reveals more and more of His Word to you.
